Huntington Residence
Huntington's Residence houses 171 students in a co-educational setting which is thoroughly up to date, with excellent kitchen facilities where students can cook their own meals, laundry facilities, TV lounges and study areas. There are 21 single and 75 double rooms. Huntington has its own social centre, a small exercise room and a library. Most students will quickly acquire a nickname, if they do not already have one, such is the esprit de corps that exists in Huntington's residence setting.
Huntington has a number of ways in which it helps students to defray costs, e.g., part-time employment is available in the residence and library, and several residence scholarships and bursaries are provided. Huntington's administrative and academic offices are housed in the same building, so students have immediate access to services, support and advice. The residence is governed by a Dean of Residence, a Residence Supervisor and four Proctors.
Huntington provides a Chaplaincy program, and works in coordination with the Interfaith Spiritual Life Services program on campus.
Students must accompany this application with a covering letter indicating their academic program and interests, extra-curricular activities, hobbies, interests, and what their expectations are of residence life. Information on Huntington's programs can be found at www.huntington.laurentian.ca
